Two Day Events
Posted by Kyle Long on October 7, 2021 at 3:19 pmAny of y’all have two day regular season events for your local clubs? How do they typically go as far as turnout?

We don’t yet, other than our classic. Waiting to see if new president has any cojones to make this type of change

We put it in our survey. Most anglers were against it. Very few were even interested. For most local trails I think the one day format is the way to go.

Buckeye Kayak Fishing Tour has 2 2 day events. Raccoon Creek Outfitters puts on a good party for our opener with 2-3x turnout (97 this year) and our classic is 2 day winner take all invitational. The RCO is usually our biggest or 2nd biggest event by a good margin and the fishing in that event usually isn’t even that good lol

We use to have one a year. Turnout wasn’t great. It’s a local event. Stop trying to make it the Elite series

I’m all for single day events during the regular season but when it gets down to championships you really need a two day format. Any Joe blow can get stupid lucky one day but those with actual skill can make things happen both days.

Main club classic is a 2 day event. Second lake is secret for top 10 only.
My second club is only doing a 2 day to coincide with the BOS on the Susky.
